INTERVIEW
NAZARENO
BIONDO
@NAZARENO_BIONDO
Nazareno Biondo, class 1985 is an Italian sculpture based in Turin.
He studied at Accademia di Belle Arti and later on participated to national and international sculpture symposiums, won awards and competitions and created monuments. He transforms blocks of carrara marble into objects of everyday life. Beauty appears with nostalgia in the decadent beauty of used objects or icons of consumerism. His use of marble represents the concept of abandonment and his reflection on time, as it gives the objects an eternal aspect. Re-cycling and abandoning the culture of waste.
“Nothing in my work,
In the world we live in,
Should be wasted.”
